Stuffed French Toast

My husband loves French toast. He really, REALLY loves it. He always gets French toast when we go to Ihop, even if it's just on the side. I make French toast a lot. I got a recipe from someone at church one for stuffed French toast. Knowing my husbands love of French toast this was destined to be made in our house. It's supper easy. Your basically just making normal french toast but putting some filling in between a couple slices of bread before you dip it in the egg mixture. I'm sure there are a lot more things you can stuff french toast with that jam and cream cheese. I'm thinking peanut butter, Nutella, bananas, chocolate chips... the list could probably go on.

Stuffed French Toast
  • 8 Slices Bread
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Cream Cheese, softened
  • Jam (Blueberry, raspberry, strawberry, etc.)
Spread  cream cheese on  four slices of the bread. Spread jam on each of the remaining four slices. Pair a cream cheese slice and jam slice together like a sandwich. Press together firmly. Mix together eggs, milk, vanilla, and cinnamon. Dip cream cheese sandwiches in the egg mixture. Cook on griddle until golden brown, flip and  cook other side until golden brown.

  7. This was very very good. The toast was not too soggy, just right. I added white sugar. Great recipe for french toast! I never thought flour would make a difference.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
