BLT Dip

There is no secret that I love junk food, especially when it comes to a good dip. When I came acrossBetty Crocker's BLT Dipon pinterest I pinned because I had to make it. It turned out pretty tasty. With all the cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise it was kind of rich, something I couldn't eat a lot of at once. That's probably a good thing though, because with all that cream cheese, sour cream and mayonnaise it is something I don't need to eat a lot of at once. Just in case you haven't noticed I always Neufchatel cheese in place of cream cheese in recipes that call for cream cheese....unless I'm making cheese cake; sometimes I use the real stuff.

BLT Dip
  • 1 pound bacon, cooked
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 8 ounces Neufchatel or cream cheese , softened
  • 1 1/2cups cheddar cheese
  • 1tomato, seeded and chopped
  • 1/4cup chopped green onions
Additional green onions, cooked bacon, tomato, and lettuce for garnish, if desired
Mix mayonnaise, sour cream, and cream cheese in a bowl until thoroughly combined. Crumble bacon into mixture and stir. Add cheddar cheese, green onions, and tomato and mix well. Pour into a shallow dish or pie pan and bake for 20 minutes or until bubbling. Garnish with additional green onions, tomato, and crumbled bacon. Serve with corn chips, crackers, baguette slices, etc.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
