Thanksgiving Dinner Ideas

This year is going by way too fast. Thanksgiving is next week! That means little boy will be 2 soon. His birthday is Nov 26.  He was due on  Thanksgiving 2 years ago and a came the day after. Baby girl's Christmas Day due date is also approaching quite quickly.  All this stuff coming up sure is going to keep me busy, but I'm going to enjoy all of it, the holidays, the kids....I love this time of year.

Anyway with Thanksgiving fast approaching I'm sure we're all starting to get our Thanksgiving dinners all planned out. I've already got my Turkey in the freezer. Thank you Raley's for selling turkey's for $5.99 with a $25 purchase. Seriously, hitting that $25 is not an issue; the day I walk into a grocery store and spend less than $25 will be a miracle.  I've already got my meal planned out. I wanted to share some of me recipes that would be great on Thanksgiving Day.

First let's talk about breakfast. The thought of a big, difficult to prepare breakfast is not appealing on Thanksgiving. Too much work, especially with all the work that goes into dinner. But I do enjoy eating a good breakfast and watching the parade on T.V.

You could make an over night french toast casserole. Prepare it the night before and just stick in in the oven in the morning.  You don't have to make breakfast and dinner in the same day.

These pumpkin waffles aren't the easiest, but they do make a fantastic Thanksgiving Day breakfast.

These muffins would also be great to snack on during the parade. With only 2 - 3 ingredients they are super easy. You could easily change out the cake mix for chocolate or spice cake mix. You can also switch out the  butterscotch chips for chocolate chips, or leave out the chips all together.

Moving on to dinner. No Thanksgiving dinner is complete with out homemade rolls. This recipe for white bread works great for rolls too.

I love sweet potatoes at Thanksgiving. This sweet potato casserole is a great way to dress up those sweet potatoes into something amazingly delidious.

Don't forget dessert. I have to admit pumpkin pie isn't my favorite. It's not bad, it's just not my favorite. Last year I made this pie which is basically a combination of pumpkin pie and cheesecake. Pumpkin Pie just moved a couple of spots higher on my list of favorites.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
