Hammies

I got a new camera with our tax return this year.  No, I didn't get a super fancy D-SLR. I just got a regular old digital point and shoot, sort of. I got a Canon PowerShot SX150 IS. It's a lot fancier than my last camera. I have more control over the ISO and the macro mode, among other things. It's an amazing little camera. Now, look at these pictures and tell me what time of day you think I took them. Would you guess that it was like 7:30 pm? Well, it was! I can take better pictures at night now. This camera has a setting for florescent lighting, which we have in our kitchen. Awesome! These were some of the first pictures I took with the new camera and I thought they turned out great. Hurray for the possibility of posting much better pictures. By the way this is my Grandma's recipe; I hope you enjoy it.

Hammies

  • 1 package English muffins
  • 2 cups cubed ham
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • small can chopped olives
  • 1 green onion chopped (Not part of the original recipe, but tastes good mixed in)
  • Mayonnaise, enough to hold ingredients together.

Slice English muffins in half (12 muffins halves) and place on a cookie sheet. Mix together remaining ingredients. Scoop mixture onto the muffins. Bake at 400F until cheese is melted

  2. That is a great pic for a night-time shot! I use a point and shoot, too. I wonder if I have that setting?

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
