Sloppy Joe Casserole

I wanted to make dinner for a friend of mine and her family of 6 kids. I needed to find something that was enough food  to feed her family and my family. It also needed to be something that kids would want to eat. I remembered seeing a recipe in that Taste of  Home cookbook for a Sloppy Joe Casserole. This recipe was easy. The best part was that her 6 kids devoured this stuff. So if you're looking for something to feed your kids, I would definitely recommend this.

Sloppy Joe Casserole
  • 1 1/2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 1 can (15.5 oz) Sloppy Joe sauce
  • 2 cups (8oz) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups Bisquick mix
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
In a large skillet cook the beef and onion over medium heat until no beef is no longer pink. Drain grease. Stir Sloppy Joe sauce into beef. Pour beef mixture into a lightly greased 9in X 13in baking dish. Sprinkle with the cheese. In a large bowl combine bisquick, eggs and milk just until blended. Pour over cheese and Sloppy Joe Mix. Sprinkle with sesame seeds if desired. Bake uncovered at 400F for 25 or until golden brown.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
