Peach Frozen Yogurt

We've spent a lot of time at The Home Depot and Lowe's thanks to buying a new house. We've put a lot of work into getting the garage set up for my hubby. We put epoxy on the floors and selves on the walls. During one of the trips to Lowe's I saw the neatest little Half Pint Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker. I've been thinking about getting an ice cream maker so I splurged and bought this one. It's great. Since I bought a new toy, I had to use it. I didn't have any half and half or heacy whipping cream, but I do have a big tub of vanilla yogurt. I decided frozen yogurt would have to do. I didn't want to make plain old vanilla so I needed to mix something in. I had a couple peaches in the fridge asking to be used. Perfect! I love peach ice cream.

Peach Frozen Yogurt

  • 1 medium peach chopped and peeled
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup vanilla yogurt
  • 1/4 cup milk

Mash together sugar and peach. Add yogurt and milk to peach mixture. Mix in ice cream maker until frozen yogurt is set. It took about 15 minutes in my machine.

  1. YUM! I started with a basic freezer bowl ice cream maker, which was great but the bowl was taking up room in the freezer. I stumbled across a new in the box compressor style maker at the thrift store for pennies- It is the neatest gadget I have ever had! Allows me to make all sorts of ice cream without worrying about that bowl being frozen. :-) But, it is big and takes up a lot of space to store, which might explain it on the counter, or maybe it is on the counter because I am making too much ice cream! LOL I am going to give your recipe a try- I have 10 pds of fresh peaches just calling to be added to ice cream!

    1. It's true that little bowl does take up space in the freezer. Luckily, I have an extra freezer in my fridge, but even with that freezer space is a valuable commodity in my house. I would still love a nice big ice cream machine that makes ice cream for more than 2 people.

  2. Yummy! I love making ice cream, but just recently, my ice cream maker stopped working. When I saw your post, I made up my mind that I would buy a new one! I want to try your peach frozen yogurt, and soon! I haven’t tried this one, but I think it’s delicious.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
