Pizzadilla

Here is something easy for you and even though I feel clever having thought it up I wouldn't be surprised if other people have thought this up too. Anyway, this was inspired while watching The Biggest Loser. At the beginning of the season  the nutritionist took the contestants grocery shopping. She took them to the frozen food isle and told them how many calories were in a frozen pizza. Shen told them a better option would be to take a whole wheat flour tortilla and top it with a little sauce and some cheese.  I am by no means anti frozen pizza. Sometimes, I'll heat one up for dinner for me and my hubby to share.  However, I thought this was a great idea for a lunch option. I certainly don't need to eat a whole pizza by myself at lunch or heat one up and let half of it go to waste.   Now, tortilla's are a little thin and I don't really trust them to hold a pizza together as nicely as real pizza dough, I figured I could fold it in half like a quesadilla , or should I say a pizzadilla (I know, how cheesy of me to name is that). Any way it is a nice easy way for me to enjoy a little bit of pizza for lunch.

Pizzadilla

  • tortillas
  • pizza sauce
  • mozzarella cheese
  • Pizza toppings (make sure things like sausage are precooked)

Take a tortilla, spread pizza sauce over tortilla. Sprinkle with cheese and any desired pizza toppings. Fold in half and place on cookie sheet. Bake in oven at 400F for around 5 minutes or until tortilla is crispy and golden brown.

    1. I just laughed so hard reading this because I was eating a a pizzadilla like 15 minutes ago, while you were typing this so if you and your fork did come over you'd be getting exactly what you wanted.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
