Pumpkin Waffles

Remember how I said I have a goal to join The Secret Recipe Club this year? As part of this goal I decided I needed to fix up a few of my early posts, the posts that I put up before I realized including pictures was a good idea. So today I'm doing a repost. This is one of the first posts I ever put up. I decided it was time that the pumpkin waffle recipe got its much needed make over.

Pumpkin Waffles
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 2 tablespoons baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon of salt
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 1 ½ cups milk
  • 1 cup pumpkin
  • ¾ cup margarine, mostly melted
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla
Combine first 6 ingredients. In a separate bowl very lightly beat the eggs. Add the milk, pumpkin, margarine, and vanilla to the eggs. Add the flour mixture.  Bake in a waffle iron.

I'm sorry, but I've turned word verification on again. I hate trying to decipher the words just as much as anyone, but I'm getting way too much spam. I tried doing comment moderation as people suggested but the number or spam comments I had to sift through was ridiculous. I appreciate your comments and didn't want them to get lost among the spam. Hopefully, I can reduce the amount of spam and turn the word verification off soon.
